OSPF NBMA broadcast


In NBMA we configure interface with "ip ospf network broadcast"then it is broadcast mode.In broadcast mode DR/BDR election takes place .we can effect the DR/BDR election with priority command.Neighobr discovery is automatic in both full or partial-mesh on the Hub.in partial mesh spokes routers only know hub router as neighbor automatically and donot ping other spokes.But in fullmesh every thing works like lan. This is config of full-mesh topology

  1. In R1 the following command should be used:
    # ip ospf network point-to-multipoint

    then it will ping each other, the point-to-point will not work in the above diagram.
